"Nothing can really prepare you for the riot of exuberance and depth of emotion" – London Times

The Soweto Gospel Choir celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2012, and in that short decade the group has achieved two Grammy Awards (out of five nominations), sold-out performances around the world, and collaborations with U2, Peter Gabriel, Diana Ross, Annie Lennox, Celine Dion and Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant, who called the choir, “mesmerizing, beautiful and phenomenally resonant.”

Direct from South Africa, the Soweto Gospel Choir gives audiences an honest, deeply uplifting story of South Africa’s past, present and future. With an awe-inspiring ensemble performing tribal, traditional and popular African and Western gospel music, the rhythms, harmonies and voices have earned rave reviews, like this one from the New York Times: “(The choir) has a cornucopia of remarkable voices: sharp, sweet, kindly, raspy and incantatory leads above a magnificently velvety blend…The music was both meticulous and unstoppable…..the songs were both spirited and spectacular.”
