Seven Days of Opening Nights is thrilled to present the Tallahassee premiere of the world-renowned Golden Dragon Acrobats, because, as the New York Times succinctly puts it: “A visit from these 16 performers from Hebei, China, is something special.”
True. With jugglers, contortionists, prize-winning acrobats and all-around daredevils, the Golden Dragon Acrobats deliver one spine-tingling feat after another: from gravity-defying tumbling to one brave gymnast's thrilling gyrations atop a truly high-altitude stack of chairs. They captivate audiences with the charm and swashbuckling showmanship of ancient skills such as the Dancing Plates, the Diablo Yo-Yo, and The Tower of Chairs. Don’t miss this thrilling parade of contortionists, jugglers, and dizzying entertainment.
As for what you’ll see, be prepared to witness the unbelievable: “The Chinese acrobats performed physical feats that seemed to defy the laws of nature, and go beyond what the human body is capable of doing,” raved the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “The tricks required enormous strength, coordination, balance and aim, and were almost as painful to watch as they were exciting and amazing.”
